Each individual of Jesus’ Remnant has a unique calling (mission) and giftedness (empowerment), granted by the Holy Spirit. The focus is to (2) help Jesus’ Remnant become aware of this very serious problem, (2) encourage to no support unbiblical ministries and leaders, (3) help individuals discover their gift and specific calling, and (4) encourage the exact place of service identified by the Holy Spirit.
Today, failure to leverage individual giftedness and calling is benched. Instead of being focused on facilitating identification of call and gifting, along with full assembly helping each to serve according to God’s call, almost all local churches are expert at creating pew-sitters, money-giver, and hand-clappers. Almost all local churches essentially ‘bench’ individual members of Jesus’ Remnant. Even worse, they are more than happy to take their money, count a higher attendance, and feed egos from the undeserved praise. This has resulted in the serious ‘one-man-show’ problem that is clear and obvious in almost all local churches. Even worse, this situation has been confused as the Biblical pattern established by Jesus and His Apostles. However, Jesus’ actual practice and the New Testament argue against that great error. (See 1 Corinthians 11-14 for God’s commanded pattern when His Remnant assembles together.)
Like salt and light in a day of great apostasy, individual Remnant members are scattered across local churches. Separated from assemblies that are either errant in doctrine, errant in practice, or errant in both doctrine and practice, these highly loved genuine believers are separate from Biblical fellowship. In this condition, the risk of religious, spiritual abuse is significant. Whether intentional or out of Biblical ignorance, church leaders happily take donations, count their noses in the pew, and willingly accept applause.
