Most Biblical writers warned against apostasy, the twisting and misrepresentation of Jesus’ teachings and Biblical truths. Apostasy is clearly, obviously evident and present within local churches – some by little and most by a lot. There are a significant number who identify as Christian, yet are clearly unsaved – not born again. Both have been common throughout human history, Israel’s history documented in the Old Testament, even in the Early Church as noted in the New Testament. Jesus Himself warned often about apostasy. In these Last Days, the flood of apostasy that is tolerated in most local church provides evidence that we may be witness to the ‘Great Falling Away’ that precedes the Great Tribulation.
